Chester Yang was a theater artist when he fled the civil war 20 years ago, he now returns to Sierra Leone to reconnect with his past and to understand why the country has not made any progress since the end of the civil war in 2003.
Chester takes viewers into a journey to discover the hustling historic city of Freetown, the neglected countryside, meeting the disgruntled youths of his homeland.

From those surviving by recycling waste in the dumpsite, to the illegal diamond miners, he shares a genuine picture of the people living on the edge of a harsh society.
